MeasurLink 7 System Requirements
Database Management System (DBMS) RequirementsMeasurLink 7 ships with a copy of Microsoft® SQL Server Express Edition 2008 R2, this can be for a standalone or a workgroup installation. MeasurLink 7 also supports the following Microsoft® SQL Server versions:
- Microsoft® SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition
- Microsoft® SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition
- Microsoft® SQL Server 2005 Workgroup Edition
- Microsoft® SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition
All MeasurLink 7 products are supported on the following Microsoft® Windows Operating System versions:
- All Windows® XP SP3 versions
- All Windows® Vista SP2 versions
- All Windows® 7 versions
- Both 32bit and 64bit operating systems supported

MeasurLink 6 System Requirements
MeasurLink® 6 is not supported under Windows 95, NT (NT4 or previous releases) or 64-bit Operating Systems.
Standalone or Client computer System RequirementsMinimum system requirements
Pentium 800Mhz PC w/ 128 MB of RAM running Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, Windows Vista* or Windows 7** (only 32-bit Operating Systems are supported)
Recommended System Requirements
Pentium 1.4Ghz PC with 256 MB of RAM running Windows 2000/XP, Windows Vista* or Windows 7** (only 32-bit Operating Systems are supported)
Optimum Performance Requirements
Pentium 2.0Ghz PC with 1GB of RAM running Windows XP, Windows Vista* or Windows 7** (only 32-bit Operating Systems are supported)
If running MeasurLink® as networked system with an SQL Server, please use these system requirements.

Server Minimum Requirements
Pentium 800Mhz with 512 MB of RAM, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server
Server Recommended Requirements
Pentium 2.0Ghz with 1GB of RAM, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server
Server Optimum Requirements
Pentium 3.0Ghz with 4GB of RAM, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server
Database Requirements
Please be advised: a multi-user DBMS (database management system) is required for network connectivity to a centralized database. We are qualified for the following database management systems:
·Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2005 Express Edition, 2008, 2008 Express Edition
·Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
·Oracle 7.x, 8i, 9i, 10g
Note: Although MeasurLink® 6 will run on any x86-based Windows-compatible computer, as with any software product, greater performance is attainable when using the fastest systems with the most memory your budget will allow. Please consult your IT department or call MeasurLink® for a suggested system for your particular needs.
Again, these requirements are not absolutes but are instead intended to give you an idea of the range of hardware that MeasurLink® will run on with reasonable or better performance. The minimum hardware requirements will provide a slow response time and the suggested hardware requirements will provide a faster response time. In general, the more powerful the PC, the faster the response times!
